Children can be hard to please and family holidays may sound like a nightmare. The perfect family holiday shouldn’t be too difficult to find though, as long as you think carefully before choosing your destination.
Pick somewhere that isn’t too far away for young children. They will be restless on the journey as it is, so make sure you keep it as short as possible. A long journey will be tiring and stressful for all of you and it’s a bad way to start your holiday.
Look for family-friendly accommodation. The last thing you want is to book an exclusive resort where you are the only people with children. Read reviews and find out about the types of people who stay there.
Check the activities in the area. Children are easily bored, so whilst you might want several pool days, this might not be an option. Boat rides, beaches and day trips can all be good ways to get out of the hotel.
