Travelling to France

If you are wanting to go to France for a holiday you have a number of options in terms of your travel arrangements. You can travel by plane but will need to arrange transport to and from the airport. Some people chose to take their car over to France either by using the Euro tunnel or by going on the Ferry.

If you are choosing to take your car over to France there are a few differences when it comes to driving that you need to be aware of. Firstly in France they drive on the left hand side of the road, this may be very confusing to start with especially when having to turn at lights etc using filter lanes. When driving in France there are a certain number of items that they expect you to keep in the car such as Sat Nav or maps, hi-vis jacket, warning triangle, spare bulbs, breathalyser and also important documents like driving license and insurance.
